Biographical / Historical
John Rogers was a prominent Tulsa attorney, businessman, philanthropist, and civic leader. He was a good friend and counsel of James A. Chapman and the Chapman-McFarlin-Barnard interests. This relationship greatly benefited Tulsa and the surrounding south central region of Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. Rogers was instrumental in the establishment of the University of Tulsa College of Law, which bears his name. In addition, he invested much time and effort toward the growth of John Brown University, Southern Methodist University, and the University of Oklahoma School Of Medicine.
