Content Description
This collection consists of 139 letters and postcards written by Lt. Edward Brown of Dallas, Texas, a pilot in the 166th Aero Squadron, to his friend, then fiancee, then wife, Leila Owens of Frankston, Texas, as well as 150 letters and cards from Leila Owens to Edward Brown. There is a manuscript history of the 166th Aero Squadron. Also includes 40 letters, postcards, and various documents from various correspondents and relatives. A photo of Brown taken in Trier, a copy of the Frankston Citizen, dated 3 Oct 1919, and a copy of the Cent Soixante Six newsletter.
