Scope and Contents The Spartan School of Aeronautics photo album (comprised of 156 photographs pasted on 31 album pages), dates from the school's first years of operation and includes identified images of some of the pilots who trained there, including several of Mary Riddle, the first Native American woman to earn a pilot's license (1930). Others include Frank Wignall, who went on to a long career with the Federal Aviation Administration and Roy Hunt, famed stunt pilot, organizer of the Oklahoma Air Patrol...
