Biography

Guy William Logsdon was born on May 31, 1934, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Guy and Mattie Marsalas Logsdon. He received his Masters degree in Library Science and his Doctorate of Education from the University of Oklahoma. For his dissertation he wrote the history of the University of Tulsa up to 1970. In 1967, Guy became Director of Libraries at the University of Tulsa. He was working on a second history of the University of Tulsa from 1970 to the present when he passed away on February 5, 2018.

Scope and Contents This artificial collection was brought together initially as the the old American Indian Law and History Collection from miscellaneous acquisitions that had accrued over twenty years of collecting. Later the collection's scope was broadened somewhat and the title was changed.
