Biography
John was a pioneer of Oklahoma ornithology. He was a founding member of the Tulsa Audubon Society in 1935, and remained a leader in Tulsa Audubon and the OOS his entire life. In addition to a career in data processing at Amoco, he was a research associate at Stovall Museum.

The papers consist of 1) administrative papers and correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, event calendars, and the Society's newsletter, the Scissortail. This series is organized chronologically with some years further divided by subject, i.e. 1988-Tallgrass Preserve, or, 1988-Scissortail; 2) bird observation records reported to the Tulsa Audubon Society Recorder as one of the society's activities.
