Scope and Contents Isaac Hitchcock, son of Jacob Hitchcock, missionary at Dwight Mission, Indian Territory, kept a diary somewhat spasmodically. The first part of his notebook which he entitles "Isaac B. Hitchcock's Composition and Memorandum Book," has very little of his diary, but rather is a series of nine short essay-like writings on various subjects dealing with his philosophy.
