Cyrus Byington was a White Christian missionary from Massachusetts who began working with the Choctaw in Mississippi in 1821.

Scope and Contents Over 300 letters, mostly concerned with Cyrus Byington's family matters, contain news of weather, missions, and missionaries. In addition to the originals, there are transcripts made by Grant Foreman.
