Adams, Leon, 1930-2017

ProRodeo Hall of Famer. Along with his wife Vicki, he worked for five decades on the rodeo circuit, gaining notoriety for his specialty acts, horsemanship, and skill in training animals. Received the PRCA Specialty Act of the Year Award in 1982. Inducted into the National Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City in 2004. He and Vicki were inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2008.

Scope and Contents From the Item: Consists of materials pertaining to Oklahoma and Oklahomans in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.The Oklahoma Collection subsumes the old Oklahoma Ephemera, Oklahoma Historical Photos and Docs and Oklahoma Maps collections.
