Doris May Lessing CH OMG was a British-Zimbabwean novelist. She was born to British parents in Iran, where she lived until 1925. Her family then moved to Southern Rhodesia, where she remained until moving in 1949 to London, England.

Scope and Contents The Claire Sprague archive of the Doris Lessing Society consists of materials collected during Claire Sprague's tenure as president of the Doris Lesing Society (1980-1988) and as editor of the Doris Lessing Newsletter (1982-1988).
