Biography
Leader of the Cherokee Nation, attorney, politician, justice of the Cherokee Supreme Court, and assistant principal chief. Originally buried at Arlington Cemetery, but was transferred to the Tahlequah City Cemetery. This move was paid for by the Cherokee Nation. Namesake of William Penn Adair Rogers, better known as Will Rogers.
