Scope and Contents

"Governor W.H. (Alfalfa Bill) Murray of Oklahoma, who packed a long horse pistol in his valise and dashed to Durant, Okla. to take command of the militia he had posted there to keep a toll bridge closed until the nearby free bridge over the Red River between his state and Texas is opened, has bowed to a federal injunction and withdrawn his troops. Alfalfa Bill is shown above in personal command of the Army on the toll bridge before he gave up the fight."
