Scope and Contents
This collection contains materials pertaining to organizations like the Native American Rights Fund, the Native American Press Association (NAPA), and its later incarnation as the Native American Journalists Association (NAJA). There is also a great deal of material regarding the Chilocco Indian School in Newkirk, OK, which her father attended. There is also a mass of material that appears to be related to historical allotments, annuity payments, and a legal case of some sort. This collection is currently unprocessed.

Susan M. Arkeketa is a journalist and educator. An Otoe-Missouri and Muscogee (Creek), she has been employed by a number of organizations such as the Native American Rights Fund, the Native American Press Association (NAPA), and its later incarnation as the Native American Journalists Association (NAJA).
