Robert Alfred Doring WWI archive, 1887-1939
Scope and Contents
Archive of Robert Alfred Doring, a non-commissioned officer in the Schutzen-Fusilier Regiment, Prinz Georg (Koniglich Sachsisches) Nr. 108. Born in Wermsdorf, Germany in 1887. Survived the war and was awarded a certificate of 25 years service (Leipzig) by the German Chief of Presidential Chancellery [Otto Meissner] in 1939. Archive includes a war diary, Doring's National identification book, his military identification booklets, several military certificates, a letter, 4 photo-postcards, and a newspaper clipping of an honor list of fellow soldiers and officers in his regiment who were killed in action.
