Scope and Contents

A handwritten letter written by Cornelius Vanderbilt to Thomas Gibbon [sic] in which the Commodore is thanking Gibbons for a horse named “Goose” and mentions sending Gibbons some fish, and then discusses boats. A postscript reads “I have kept out of the way for the last 9 days in N York to morrow I expect to be sude by John R.”
