Strick captures the narrative of Joyce's stream-of-consciousness narrative about a day in the life of Leopold Bloom, a Jewish advertising executive and Joyce's more modern reflection of Homer's wandering epic hero. Bloom's journey through the streets of turn-of-the-century Dublin leads him through trials that parallel those of Ulysses on his epic journey home.
