Scope and Contents The LaVere Shoenfelt Anderson collection consists of correspondence from LaVere Anderson to her friend, Marie Moody. Tulsa Tribune and Tulsa World newspaper segments; individual issues (New York World-Telegrah, Pittsburgh Press, Chicago Sun, St. Louis Globe-Democrat, Kansas City Star, Kansas City Times, Atlanta Journal, Oklahoma City Times) all dating from 1939-1945, and featuring the top news stories regarding the war. Also inlcuded are WWII pages excised from Life Magazine.

Scope and Contents

Research materials related to the history of Tulsa compiled for the purpose of writing a book on the topic sponsored by the Army Corps of Engineers in Tulsa. Items included are newspaper clippings, theses, pamphlets, newsletters, taped interviews and transcripts, and photographs. Some material related to Dr. Settle's dissertation on Jesse James and on dime novels. Dr. Settle was a faculty member of the history department at The University of Tulsa.
