The service papers of Wilfred Garthwaite, who served in the Royal Navy from August 1917 to August 1919. It includes the pamphlet "How to join the Navy", with a short query about whether there was a similar pamphet on how to get out of the navy, Garthwaite's National Registration Act card, Certificate of Service, hist training certificate, notes on Mess Account and Pay Down, and a pocket pictoral Gospel of St. John.
