Letter is addressed to "Oscar", although the envelope (postmarked Oconomowoc, Wisconsin) is addressed to Major J.C. Culver (St. Louis, MO). Letter includes reference to an exaggerated account of a purported Indian attack, an inquiry as to the performance of rebels in the snow, and the evacuation of Nashville by the [---] troops. Letter is signed [Millie].
