"...Shortly after Bishop Hart came here, having heard that Bishop Taitt had told him that there was one thing he must never do, and that was, try to change anything. I took pains to tell Bishop Hart that while the people of this diocese...were conservative and saw red at a proposition to change...."

Includes a copy of a typed letter from Hartshorne to Bishop Hart with the note: "I enclose letter from George Copeland, and part of my reply...."
