Biography

Uruguayan-born American cartoonist, comics artist, sculptor, illustrator, and cowboy. He lived with the Hopi and wrote extensively about his experiences in California.

Scope and Contents Consists of 140 sepia-toned photographic prints and 27 black and white photographic prints (originally housed in a 3-ring binder labeled "Western Art Productions, Inc. Jo Mora's Watercolor Collections of Hopi Kachina & Ceremonial Figures"). All photographs were produced from the original negatives taken by Mora from 1904 through 1906.
