"Dear Mrs Briggs Now to your letter and the photo - [?] my daughter and I have come to the conclusion that the one enclosed (herewith returned) must have been of Arthur; altho' it does not tally with his description of himself, or that earlier photo of him with the dog, or any of my own photos. But the fact that yours was in the Bland family album - and identified by Paul Bland proves the point..."

"Dear Miss/Mrs(?) Briggs, I was delighted to get your letter this morning - together with my [?] of family photos and the other one which you think may be of Arthur. I agree with you it could perhaps be Arthur - although I have never seen a photo of him with a moustache or heard of one!..."

Scope and Contents "Dear Mr Cohen Thank you for your letter of May 9th. I have no photograph of Arthur with E. Nesbit, but I enclose one of him with a dog when he was about 20-21 at the Slade. I am sorry I have to include it with a number of other photos, but it is from an album.
