Served in WWII, 1942-46, in the 225th Field Artillery Regiment and obtained rank of Captain. He belonged to numerous committees of Eastern Oklahoma Presbyterian and was elected Commissioner to the General Assembly; was a board member of Presbyterian Historical Societyand Presbyterian Society of Southwest and Tulsa Metropolitan Ministry.
