Biography
Joseph Banks was an English naturalist, botanist, and patron of the natural sciences who is well known for the expedition to Newfoundland and Labrador. Famous Naturalist of Cook's expedition around the world. President of the Royal Society. His important manuscripts are preserved in the botanical department of the British Museum. His house in Soho Square was the gathering-place for scientific men of every nation.
