Doctor, lawyer, war-worker, and the first female Chief Medical Officer for London. Received a CBE for her achievements in medicine following her contributions during WWI.

Photocopy of a handwritten and signed letter from Rebecca "Cissie" West to Fairfield. A handwritten explanatory note by Norman Macleod reads "Copy given me by Alison (who has the original from Lettie's papers), 16/4/84. She had recently sent a similar copy to Victoria Glendenning." Letter is in reference to the divorce of Anthony and Kitty West.
