Adams, Kenneth Stanley "Boots", 1899-1975

American business executive, University of Kansas booster, and civic philanthropist of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Adams began his career with the Phillips Petroleum Company in 1920 as a clerk in the warehouse department. In 1938 he was elected president of the Phillips Petroleum Company and was one of the nation's youngest leaders of a major corporation. He continued to serve as the company's chief executive until 1964.

Scope and Contents From the Item: Consists of materials pertaining to Oklahoma and Oklahomans in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.The Oklahoma Collection subsumes the old Oklahoma Ephemera, Oklahoma Historical Photos and Docs and Oklahoma Maps collections.
