Biography
Recipient of the Purple Heart and the Silver Star medals for valor in combat, in Northern Italy, while serving with Company G, 361st Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division.
A dairy farmer both before and after the war, Jene Mungle prided himself in his award winning dairy bull, "Sabian Saturn" - national All-American Grand Champion, 1963-64.
