Bartlett, George Edward, 1858-1911
Biography
George Edward Bartlett was a United States marshal on the Pine Ridge Reservation, in South Dakota. He served a long time as a captain of Indian police; was wounded in the battle of Wounded Knee, S. D. For a time conducted a trading post near the scene of the conflict.
