Biography
Greek-American director, producer, writer, and actor. Co-founded the Actors Studio and introduced Method Acting with Lee Strasberg. Noted for drawing Oscar-winning performances out of actors, and for his testimony as a witness before the HUAC at the time of the Hollywood blacklist.
