"To Richard Lloyd Jones at Lincoln Tomb June 22, 1933. A piece of wood from Lincoln's Springfield home. H.W. Fay" A handwritten note referring to a 6.3 x 1.3 cm sliver of wood sewn to Fay's personal note paper. Also sewn to the same note, "oak leaf from tree Lincoln's tomb".
