A slide showing John Rogers, Rogers was a Tulsa attorney with strong ties to McMan Oil Company, and the University of Tulsa. Although he served as the first secretary of the Tulsa Benevolent Association, he severed his ties to that organization within a year after it became clear it was a front for the KKK. As Dean of the law school he oversaw the integration of that organization and served on the Oklahoma Civil Rights Commission as its first Chairman, working with Martin Luther King on...
