Collection of publishers files relating to American novelist David Plante and four of his novels: Figures in Bright Air, The Family, The Country and The Woods and a memoir he wrote on his relationships with women and his life as a young writer in London in the late 1970s, Difficult Women, a memoir of three: Jean Rhys, Sonia Orwell, Germaine Greer. Also includes a proposed novel titled "The Secret". The collection contains five publisher's files, each with a copy of the corresponding book, which contain correspondence, signed agreements, memorandums, press releases, readers reports, M/S notes and other documents.
