Scope and Contents
This slide shows the Beacon Building, later the 4th National Bank Building. Built in 1923 by Waite Phillips. The Beacon on the top was there to note the Beacon Life Insurance Company. In the 1930s it was an aircraft navigational aid. The beacon was removed in the 1970s.
