A slide showing Norma Des Cygne Smallwood Gilcrease Bruce, a Cherokee, she was the first Native American Woman to win the Miss America Pageant in 1926. She later married Thomas Gilcrease in 1928. Later she married Beorge Bruce, president of Aladdin Oil.
