"Dear Mrs Moore I am sorry to have delayed answering your letter when you were in a hurry for a reply but I didn't get it until Monday because I was away for the week-end and I thought it was worth while waiting until this evening because I had Miss Hoatson coming to dinner with me and I knew she could give me a true account of how Daddy died. It seems that she was taking a letter from his dictation at the time and that he suddenly said 'I feel giddy'. She went to him and tried to support him but his weight was too much for her and he collapsed on the floor..."
