"My very own Darling, Thank you very much for your letters! I've had three today! Two this morning and one this afternoon; the Post is up the loop and so bloomin' [error?]. First of all, I am on shift tonight and so far as I know now I have a very good chance of coming along tomorrow night, so, unless you get a telegram to say I can't come, will you expect me when you see me and be ready to come along to W.H. any time after seven? Thank you! We had a medical inspection of all A1 men in the fort his morning and the Doctor was quite a decent sort of bloke..."
