Scope and Contents

"My dearest Wife, Just a few lines at the end of this very heavy week to let you know that I am still [?] and have not forgotten to let you hear from me. Works seems to multiply in quantity almost as quickly as it multiplies in difficulty and every day it gets harder and harder to do anything at all. Our new contact was supposed to have been agreed in principle on Saturday but so far I have been unable to get hold of the lawyer and don't know what has happened. I must make a point of seeing him tomorrow morning. The latest news is that the banks have been seized by the Bolsheviks what result this will have I don't yet know but it is not more comforting from a business point of view than it was before they did it..."
