Photocopy of the original letter. It is unclear why these letters are included with the collection, and may have been a separate research project that Julia Briggs was working on.
Note: first page is missing, letter picks up on page 2.
"You will be back in Sutton now and I have asked Findlay to bring this down with him or else post it in London and go down to see you later [?] and let you know all that has taken place. For three weeks I tried to find whether the cable had any end at all and at last succeeded in getting a reply and a few days later a satisfactory message came through and we started work. Since then our office hours have been from 7.0 am to 3.0 pm and after [I have?] been called up at 4.0 or 5.0 for telegrams. As a rule I get about six a day and some of them are about 12 sheets long..."
