Calder-Marshall, Arthur to "My own darling Love" [Alice Calder-Marshall], 1914-10-31
Scope and Contents
Photocopy of the original letter. It is unclear why these letters are included with the collection, and may have been a separate research project that Julia Briggs was working on.
"My own darling Love, As you see I have kept your letter open hoping to add to it each day bu day after day has gone by and my time has been more than occupied and in addition I have been frightfully worried on the motor car contract. At last however I think I have got matters settled and that we shall be able to return the whole of our 422 motor lorries and shall therefore be able to have [?] man own £100,000 profit. I can't tell yet but I think it is settled satisfactorily..."
