Photocopy of the original letter. It is unclear why these letters are included with the collection, and may have been a separate research project that Julia Briggs was working on.
"Dearest Love, I thought our troubles were all over now but they aren't apparently to judge from Redmayne's telegram. It is awful! No sooner do I get out of one difficulty then I land into another. Well it can't be helped, we must succeed in the end despite all the difficulties. Please post the enclosed letter. This goes to you by hand by favour of Mr. Brinks. I have just had a P.C. saying that you have written a letter but it has not arrived and I don't expect will. However that can't be helped and we must just..."
