Calder-Marshall, Arthur to "My own darling wife" [Alice Calder-Marshall], 1914-09-27
Scope and Contents
Photocopy of the original letter. It is unclear why these letters are included with the collection, and may have been a separate research project that Julia Briggs was working on.
"My own darling Wife, I was very pleased and quite surprised to find a letter from you on my table this morning. I supposed you have written constantly like myself but quite uselessly for the letters to do not arrive. I only write Redmayne now if I can get a messenger to take the letter and failing that communicate by telegram only..."
