Calder-Marshall, Arthur to "My dearest wife" [Alice Calder-Marshall], 1914-09
Scope and Contents
Photocopy of the original letter. It is unclear why these letters are included with the collection, and may have been a separate research project that Julia Briggs was working on.
"My dearest Wife, Findlay was not able to get away tonight but leaves tomorrow on the 9.0 train. He is still at work and so is Mac - so have I been up to 5 minutes ago. I am now living at the end of the telegraph wire and hanging on from cable to cable for I won't [...] with details so badly that I don't like to go to [bed?] but go as soon as I can get them all the same..."
