Calder-Marshall, Arthur to "My own darling Lar" [Alice Calder-Marshall], 1914-7-20
Scope and Contents
Photocopy of the original letter. It is unclear why these letters are included with the collection, and may have been a separate research project that Julia Briggs was working on.
"My own darling Lar, I am taking advantage of Sunday morning to write you a few lines at any rate. I was to have caught the 11.15 to [Novogercebo?/ to spend the day with a W. Hunter in their country home a datcha as it is called here but decided to miss it and catch the 1.0 train place of it. John is busy writing business letters and has his work cut out to get them off to-day but that can't be helped..."
