Photocopy of the original letter. It is unclear why these letters are included with the collection, and may have been a separate research project that Julia Briggs was working on.
"My dearest Wife, I told you most of the news such as it is, in my last but since then I had your letter telling me that you were finding housekeeping too tight on your allowance, as I have telegraphed to Redmayne to pay you £100 which should carry you along nicely with the rest and all other matters. I have as usual been very busy but am trying to get things complete so as to leave here in about 3 to 4 weeks time but it is too early for anything at all definitely got..."
