Calder-Marshall, Arthur to "My own dearest wife" [Alice Calder-Marshall], 1916-04-01
Scope and Contents
Photocopy of the original letter. It is unclear why these letters are included with the collection, and may have been a separate research project that Julia Briggs was working on.
"My own dearest Wife, I have not heard from you except by telegram about Willie for a very long time and can only suppose that you have decided week after week that I should already be on the way home that it was not worth it to write. I hope it is that and not that you have been ill or anything has gone wrong once more with your eyes. How is your ear?..."
