Calder-Marshall, Arthur to "My own dearest wife" [Alice Calder-Marshall], 1917-08-01
Scope and Contents
Photocopy of the original letter. It is unclear why these letters are included with the collection, and may have been a separate research project that Julia Briggs was working on.
"My own dearest Wife, Thank you so much for your birthday telegram and good wishes. It was considerably delayed in transmission but none the less welcome for that and I am glad to see from it that you have received the £50 I sent you and still am glad to see that you are at Littlehampton and hope the holiday at the sea will do you good for I am quite sure that you need it more than anyone else in the family..."
