"Dear Mrs Bland I have wanted to write to you for [sic] long time, but my courage has always failed me. However, now being in one of my bravest moods, I take up my pen to write to a 'real, live authoress' (which I have doubtful hopes of one day being myself.) As this letter is mainly about my little sister and myself, I had better tell you something about us..."
