Identifier: 2005.002.1.2.1.019

Scope and Contents

Transcribed copy of the original letter.

Scope and Contents

Original typewritten copy indicates a date of 1913, but a penciled correction indicates 1903 instead. Likely 1903, as the next letter from W.E. Henley is dated 1899.

Scope and Contents

"Dear Mrs Bland, Ever so many thanks. The Worthing folk are under compulsion; and the book has come to us. We take it to town tomorrow; and there ( 31 Park Mansions ?) [this seems to be a notation indicating confusion on the part of the person who transcribed this typewritten copy] we shall be very glad to see you. By the time we do, I hope I shall have read it..."
