Moore, Doris Langley to Julia Briggs, 1976-08-14
Scope and Contents
"Dear Mrs Briggs, So many people who are asking a favour of a stranger "begin with an apology" but so few make it easy to reply by sending a stamped addressed envelope. Your letter comes at a time when I am coping with immense and most undesirable plans for alteration of the Museum of Costume founded by me in Bath - which are occasioning a great deal of letter-writing; when I am trying to get my last book to press despite perpetual interruptions; and when I am beginning work with a temporary secretary merely to clear a backlog of filing which has become formidable. If you wish to make a critical study of E. Nesbit's work, the printed material is available in the British Library..."
