Moore, Doris Langley to Metropolitan Borough of Woolwich Librarian, 1936-02-19
Scope and Contents
Transcribed copy of the original letter.
"Dear Sir, in September 1932, we were in correspondence regarding the prospect of dedicating a Juvenile Library on the site of Well Hall House to the memory of Edith Nesbit, who lived there. At that time I was preparing a biography of E. Nesbit which was published in 1033, and enjoyed a success which confirmed my belief that an appeal for funds would be generously supported. It is now about to be brought out in a new edition, and I am anxious to bring my information about the question of a memorial up to date..."
