"Dear Mr. Coward, I want to thank you earnestly for a letter which was most grateful and comforting, and for sending me the article about E.Nesbit[sic] by Mr. Waldbridge - but I rather feel that I am dropping this gratitutde into space, for the paper on which you wrote to me bears no address, and I have no idea whether you retain your house at Gerald Road..."
